The DMZ International Documentary Film Festival has created barrier-free versions of films from its Korean official selection, fostering an environment in which audiences with and without disabilities can enjoy the program together. This year, three Korean short documentaries have been selected: Da Don Ta, A Pastor in a Cannabis Field, and Between the Notes. Each film centers on protagonists who communicate through a different form of language. As they work to close the distances between them, their exchanges give rise to moments of communication that are at once ordinary and deeply moving. Once again presented in collaboration with the Siloam Center for the Blind, the Barrier-free Screening Program seeks to create a space of togetherness where everyone can experience cinema without discrimination.
