"DARAK" is an online program that introduces documentaries with various contents. During the upcoming film festival, from September 18th to 24th, three music-themed documentaries will be introduced along with related performances of different artists.

Vol.2 <Sound of Nomad: Koryo Arirang> X Choi Gonne

Bang Tamara and Lee Ham-deok, two divas of the Koryo Theater gave their hometowns to Koryo people who left their homeland. Along with this screening of Sound of Nomad: Koryo Arirang, singer-songwriter Gonne Choi, who has been working on diaspora, will rearrange and reproduce the music in this film.

Vol.2 <Free My Soul, Free My Song> X Kim Ji-hee

Kim Jihee is a finger style guitarist, who tells her story to the world with a guitar. Kim Jihee tells the story of her long-cherished desire through the movie. Free My Soul, Free My Song. With the online screening of this documentary, Kim ji-hee will perform three songs.

Vol.2 <WEEKENDS> X G_Voice

“G_Voice” is a gay choir that tells their story with their own songs. WEEKENDS is a film about G_Voice’s 10th anniversary performance. Along with this screening, G_Voice’s music videos produced by director LEE Dong-ha of WEEKENDS will be introduced.

Vol.1 <KIM-GUN> X KANG Sang-woo

In May 1980, there was a pro-democracy movement in Gwang-ju, Korea. The film KIM-GUN is a story chasing a man called “Kim” who was captured in that time. Kang Sang-woo, director of KIM-GUN, introduces the behind-the-scenes story of KIM-GUN with his lovely cat “Louis”.

Vol.1 <Repatriation> X KIM Dong-won

Repatriation is a documentary about "Unconverted Long-Term Prisoner" who was sent to the South as a North Korean political operative and did not give up his communist beliefs. Director Kim Dong-won talks about Repatriation 2 15 years after Repatriation made.

Vol.1 <The Remnants> X KIM Il-ran, LEE Hyuk-sang

The Remnants is a documentary about the Yong-san incident that killed five residents and one member of the police force on January, 2009. Director Kim Il-ran and Lee Hyuk-sang of The Remnants tell stories that they couldn't tell when this film was released.
